Website Cleanup  

After several versions, and changes to your website, you will find that your web server has many files that are not part of the site anymore, they are not linked to, and are not used for any operations.

These files are known as orphaned files, and can take up a lot of space on your server.

XSitePro 2 has the answer to cleaning these unwanted files from your hosting account, it is known as the website cleanup tool.

Located on the "Other" tab in XSitePro's user interface, the web site cleanup tool is a simple click and point operation.

Click on the Web Site Clean-Up button, and you are shown this screen.

Next, you click on the generate file list button, which analyses your servers storage drives, and shows a list of what it thinks may be orphaned files.

Place your check mark on the files you believe to be orphaned, then use the move selected files to local computer button, this ensures that, if you have mistakenly removed a needed file, you can easily restore it using the resource manager.

Your server will now be cleaner, find files faster, and cost you less money to host the files that you really need.
